Student Experience
Multi-year initiatives to reimagine and modernize BigFuture—College Board’s comprehensive platform for college and career exploration. Over four years, this project encompassed a full redesign and migration to a new technology infrastructure, alongside the design and launch of new tools including Real Talk, BigFuture School, the Student Dashboard, and an enhanced College Search experience and many more. The goal: empower millions of students with accessible, actionable guidance for their futures.
Navigational Architecture
& Findability
With BigFuture serving as one of over 100 offerings from the College Board—and encompassing a range of services, tools, and content to support students in college and career planning—I led efforts to explore and test information architecture and navigational hierarchies. The goal was to create a more intuitive, student-centered experience by organizing content in a way that makes it easier for students to find what they need, when they need it.
BigFuture Integrated
Student Dashboard
Led UX and design for the creation of a centralized hub within BigFuture—a personalized landing page where students can view a unified summary of their interactions across various BigFuture tools. This dashboard not only tracks progress and task completion, but also intelligently recommends next steps tailored to each student’s college and career journey, transforming BigFuture into a proactive and guided planning experience.
Action Cards
Design Patterns
Designed the UI patterns, information architecture, and interaction states for “Action Engine Cards” on the BigFuture Student Dashboard. Each card represents a key step in a student’s college and career planning journey, enabling clear task tracking and progress visibility. This modular system supports dynamic content, contextual guidance, and a seamless user experience aligned with students’ evolving needs.
College Planning Checklist & Action Engine
Led product design for the BigFuture Student Checklist, a centralized tool that helps students manage their college and career planning journey. The checklist provides a clear, actionable overview of tasks, timely notifications, and all the supporting details needed to complete each step—empowering students to stay organized, informed, and on track.
College Search Web App
College Search is one if the main, if not the most important, offering of BigFuture. I led a design team to fully redesign the college search experience for students. The tool allows student search and discover matching colleges, get personalized recommendations, save favorite colleges and get all the crucial details they need about each college.

BigFuture Events
Designed a suite of themed registration tools to engage students in live college and career planning webinars. These tools not only facilitated sign-ups but also embedded timely, relevant tips throughout the registration flow—turning a functional process into an informative touchpoint that added value before the webinar even began.
